Join us at Washington Crossing for its third annual Juneteenth Celebration to honor and reflect on the contributions of Black soldiers during the American Revolution and Civil War. Explore the meaning of Juneteenth, and celebrate its enduring legacy. This free event will feature engaging speakers, living history, and lively musical entertainment.

Pre-registration is required due to limited space.

Linda Salley, President and Executive Director of the African American Museum of Bucks County (AAMBC), will speak on the significance of Juneteenth and the importance of remembering and teaching African American history.

Saturday, JUNE 14  |  Juneteenth at the Mercer Museum

​12:00-3:00 pm in Doylestown

Join us to celebrate Juneteenth in the heart of the Doylestown Cultural District at this free, drop-in Community Program. The AAMBC will have an exhibit with information about the Museum and its programs, an update on its status, and how to become a member.

Book Talk and Lunch. Pat Mervine and Joe Coleman will be speaking. Their book, "Slavery, Friends, and Freedom in Bucks County" will be available for sale. All proceeds will go to the AAMBC. Members of the AAMBC Board will be in attendance. 

Thursday, JUNE 19  |  Harriett Bookshop Tour​

The Harriett Bookshop Trolley Tour comes to Bucks County. Join the Harriett Bookshop for a day of radical joy, abundance, and ancestral remembrance.The AAMBC will have a table at the cafe with information about the Museum and Books for sale.

Inspired by the revolutionary spirit of June Jordan, this family reunion reclaims the dream of “40 Acres & A Mule” with love, land, and liberation. They will be stopping for Lunch at the So Fresh, So Green Cafe in Perkasie.
