African American History is American History!
The African American Museum of Bucks County honors the rich legacy of the African American experience, inspiring pride in our heritage, and sharing untold stories about the diverse journey of our people and our shared ancestry. Our programs and exhibits explore the history and heritage of the diverse cultures of Bucks County and beyond.
Building Our Dream Capital Campaign
Bucks County's first African American Museum is moving to our permanent home in 2024!
The Bucks County Commissioners thoughtfully gifted the museum its new lease to Boone Farm, while also providing the funding to renovate its exterior. Though extremely generous, this gift only provides some of the funding required to transform the building and its grounds into a brick-and-mortar museum.

By the end of this year, we will need to raise an additional $2,000,000 in order to complete the renovations and operational costs of turning Boone Farm into a functioning museum. We are asking friends like you to consider donating to support our campaign or to continue sharing the important work of the museum and its goals on social media and throughout the community.

The Underground Railroad Tour
The AAMBC's Underground Railroad Tours emphasize the importance of Bucks County in the network of waystations along the Underground Railroad. The Underground Railroad Tours showcase many of Bucks County’s historic landmarks and treasures. Some are known, but many remain unknown to Bucks residents and visitors. Many of these landmarks are centrally located, right in the middle of historic boroughs and townships.

For more information about our underground railroad tours please contact Erika Land, the Museum's Program Manager, at 215.752-1909 or email eland@aamuseumbucks.org.
